OcuMit is a targeted eye-health formulation from mse MitoMed®, developed by Dr. Enzmann, combining the two macular carotenoids — lutein and zeaxanthin — with ubiquinol (the active, highly bioavailable form of CoQ10), taurine, alpha-lipoic acid, and a spectrum of 9 supporting vitamins and minerals.

Lutein and zeaxanthin are unique among dietary carotenoids in that they accumulate specifically in the retina's macula, where they form a natural filter against high-energy blue light and help neutralize oxidative stress — two of the primary drivers behind age-related macular degeneration (AMD), age-related cataract (ARC), and general decline in visual acuity. Zinc, included in organic bisglycinate form for enhanced absorption, works alongside these carotenoids to support normal vision.

Beyond the eyes, OcuMit®'s formula is built around whole-cell antioxidant defense: ubiquinol, taurine, alpha-lipoic acid, manganese, selenium, and copper each contribute to protecting cells from oxidative damage, while niacinamide (vitamin B3) supports normal cellular energy metabolism.
