Start your journey to better gut health with award-winning Bimuno® DAILY today.

Bimuno is a daily prebiotic supplement designed to support a healthy gut. It feeds and stimulates the growth of good bacteria in your gut, helping to improve the balance of gut bacteria and encourage diversity.

It’s easy to take – just add the taste-free powder to tea, coffee or even stir into food.

Supported by Science

The Bimuno range of prebiotic supplements has been created through an extensive science research programme that started with the University of Reading back in 2007.

Since then, Bimuno has become one of the most widely studied prebiotics of its kind and is supported by over 90 scientific publications. Bimuno has been developed to specifically target and nourish bifidobacteria, a type of good gut bacteria that produces vitamins that the body needs.

Your good gut bacteria don’t just help with digestion, they can influence many important areas of our physical and mental wellbeing too. For example, did you know that your good gut bacteria can support the immune system – around 70% of which resides in the gut?

How does Bimuno® DAILY Work?

Giving your important ‘good’ gut bacteria everyday support and beginning a proactive gut health journey doesn’t need to be difficult or time-consuming!

Introducing Bimuno® DAILY, a prebiotic supplement that contains GOS, a composition of dietary fibre that selectively feeds bifidobacteria, helping them to thrive and increase in numbers. The more space taken up by ‘good’ bacteria in the gut, the less space there is for potentially ‘bad’ bacteria.

Designed to fit effortlessly into your routine, Bimuno® DAILY is a powder in individual sachets that can be stirred into your morning tea or coffee. When taken daily, Bimuno works within just 7 days*.

What to expect when taking Bimuno
Day 1-3
When you take Bimuno for the first time, it will take 3 days to start feeding your bifidobacteria (the good bacteria in your gut).
Day 4-7
You might feel some slight gurgling in your tummy. This is a good sign as it means Bimuno is beginning to reset your microbiome (the bacteria, yeast and fungi in your gut).
Day 8-14
Your microbiome has now changed and Bimuno is feeding and nurturing your beneficial bacteria.
After 14 days...
Don’t stop after 14 days. Make Bimuno part of your daily routine and continue to feed your good gut bacteria.

The programme explained the impact of improving fibre intake and the positive effect that this has on the good bacteria in your gut and inferred that this may improve sleep patterns. In the programme Dr Michael Mosley discussed how his sleep patterns had improved whilst taking Bimuno in the evening before going to sleep. It should be noted that no formal clinical investigations have been conducted to assess the impact of Bimuno on sleep patterns.

Prebiotics are non-digestible food, for example non-digestible carbohydrates or polyphenols, that is selectively utilised by beneficial bacteria in the gut9. Prebiotics are not affected by heat and acidity and therefore reach the colon intact, where they exert a positive effect on the resident beneficial probiotic bacteria to confer a health benefit.

Probiotics are beneficial live bacteria which when taken in adequate quantities can confer a health benefit. Probiotics are susceptible to heat and acidity and therefore may not reach the gut alive.

As probiotic supplements and foods contain live bacteria, they need to survive the passage through the upper gastrointestinal tract, the acidity of the stomach, secretions of the small intestine and then compete with existing bacteria for colonisation sites in the large intestine (colon). Not all commercially available probiotics can survive this journey in sufficient numbers to make an impact.

Prebiotics are ‘non-digestible’. This means that they reach the large intestine where they exert a beneficial effect on the resident beneficial bacteria so as to confer a health benefit.

Bimuno is rooted in scientific research. It is the product of an ongoing research and development programme conducted in collaboration with the University of Reading and other globally renowned research institutes. Bimuno is the most widely studied GOS supplement with its safety and efficacy supported by over 90 scientific publications including over 20 clinical trials.

Bimuno research is far reaching and demonstrates positive outcomes in gastrointestinal (GI), immunity, brain, cognition and mood, Traveller's Diarrhoea (TD) and cardiovascular functions.

Bimuno GOS differs from other prebiotics in its structure. The structure of Bimuno GOS is a reason for its specificity to feed bifidobacteria, an anaerobic bacteria that does not produce gas. Bimuno GOS can be given in a lower dose, whilst it still causes a prebiotic effect, a beneficial characteristic for those with sensitive stomachs10.
