Description
MitoGlucan® pairs two "Mitoceuticals®" — nutrients that work directly with mitochondrial and cellular metabolism — in one capsule: beta-glucan and bioactive ubiquinol Q10.
The beta-glucan is Yestimun®, a highly purified (1,3)-(1,6)-β-D-glucan produced by Leiber GmbH from brewer's yeast (Saccharomyces cerevisiae) cultivated only on hops, malted barley and water. This particular ingredient has been tested in clinical trials assessing its effect on the incidence and severity of common colds in adults with recurring infections, with doses in the 450–900 mg/day range over 16–26 weeks. As a dietary fibre, it passes the digestive tract largely unbroken down, feeding beneficial gut bacteria along the way.
The ubiquinol is sourced from Kaneka, produced through natural fermentation without genetic engineering, and is biologically identical to the Q10 your body already produces — a form generally considered more readily absorbed than standard ubiquinone powder.
Made in Germany, MitoGlucan® is free from milk protein, lactose, gluten, gelatine, artificial flavourings, colourings and preservatives.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the source of the beta-glucan in MitoGlucan®?
The beta-glucan is extracted from baker's yeast (Saccharomyces cerevisiae) and produced in Germany. Specifically, it's Yestimun®, cultivated only on hops, malted barley and water.
What exactly is the beta-glucan in MitoGlucan®?
The beta-glucan contained in MitoGlucan® is a dietary fibre that occurs naturally mainly in the cell wall of yeasts, grains, fungi and bacteria. Our body does not have enzymes to break down beta-glucan, but dietary fibre can be metabolised by some microorganisms in our intestinal flora.
How is the beta-glucan in MitoGlucan® different from other beta-glucan products on the market?
Depending on the source of the beta-glucan, its building blocks are linked differently, resulting in different properties. For example, the glucose subunits in yeast-derived beta-glucan are β-1,3/1,6-glycosidically linked, while the subunits of cereal beta-glucan consist of β-1,3- and β-1,4-linked glucose molecules.
What form of Q10 does MitoGlucan® contain, and why does that matter?
MitoGlucan® contains Q10 in its bioactive form — ubiquinol — sourced from Kaneka. Unlike standard ubiquinone powder, ubiquinol is the form your cells use directly in the mitochondria, without requiring an extra conversion step, which is generally associated with better absorption.
